About RWP Visual Media and Richard Walker

RWP Visual Media is the trading name of Richard Walker, who has over 25 years of media production experience. Born in Bow in east London within the sound of the famous Bow Bells Richard is rightly proud of his cockney heritage.

As a Photographer, Director, Producer, Cinematographer (DoP), Editor, and Writer, Richard has worked with organisations including London’s Metropolitan Police, Transport for London, G4S, NHS Trusts, Child Safety Media Ltd, Queens Theatre (Hornchurch), Redbridge Stage Company, Safe Drive Stay Alive London, several London boroughs, Lancashire Constabulary, and many others. He also worked with the former Mayfair model agency Askew Team and the Sylvia Young Agency producing test and casting photos for up-and-coming models and performers.

He has covered important events in the capital, including the VE Day celebrations, the Lord Mayor’s Show, the New Year’s Day parade, terrorist and other major incidents, film premieres, state funerals, and the 2012 Olympics.

His images have appeared in national and local newspapers, magazines, annual reports, theatre publicity, trade exhibitions and conferences, and many are licensed through leading stock agencies, including Shutterstock, Alamy, Pond5, Picfair and Adobe Stock. He also shares some of his photography internationally via the Urban Life in Colour Facebook page.

Richard has extensive experience in healthcare, having covered subjects such as cardiac catheter surgery, stroke and spinal injury care, and pre-hospital emergency medicine working alongside land and air ambulance medics. He is adept at working in clinical environments, including operating theatres, emergency departments, and hospital wards, where sensitivity and discretion are essential.

In addition to corporate video production, he has produced material broadcast on London news channels and BBC Crimewatch.

Richard has also directed and produced live awards events at London venues, including the Tower Hotel, the Tavistock Hotel, and the Connaught Rooms, and has been involved with various television programmes in an advisory role, including London’s Burning, Grange Hill, The Bill, Blue Peter, Blues and Twos, This is Your Life, The London Programme, BBC 999, and Grantchester.

Richard also has significant experience in public relations and corporate communications, having worked on major health-related campaigns and has been involved in developing and delivering media training for staff and senior and board-level management.

Richard is a member of The Guild of Television Camera Professionals (GTC) and the Society of Television Lighting and Design (STLD) and has DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.

Every project is different, but depending on your requirements - and, of course, your budget - Richard can provide the relevant resources. He always works with a regular pool of experienced media professionals who are experts in their respective skill areas.
